- a collection of translations of non-western math concepts to their western counterparts.
- study of patterns that occur from an indigenous culture being an indigenous culture.
- studying the patterns mentioned above, but with consideration for the social activity from which they were caused.
- "folk math", the language and patterns of (contemporary) everyday conversation and creations by a common person, a non-mathematician.
- the society of mathematicians as recognized by their culture.
